Her Story
Lily Tran — known on stage as Flo Mammi — was three years old when she decided she was going to perform. Watching her mother sing and play guitar, something clicked that never unclicked. She competed in pageants, fronted a jazz band, MC'd family events in both English and Vietnamese, and carried that performer's instinct into everything she did. Music wasn't something she discovered — it was already in her blood.
While in college, a chance encounter at a music convention changed everything. After approaching Monster Cable founder Noel Lee with candid feedback on his Beats headphones, she received a job offer days later — EA to the CEO. She said yes, boarded a plane to Berlin on her first day, and never looked back. Over the next three years she traveled the globe, attended the Grammys, built relationships with industry executives, crossed paths with artists like Stevie Wonder and Lil Jon, and earned a nickname from Xzibit himself: Dance Fever.
When she finally completed college and turned her focus to DJing, she brought everything with her — her vocals, her bilingual hosting ability, her stage presence, her production ear, and a rare gift for reading a room. Not the kind of DJ who hides behind the booth, but one who pulls you in without you even realizing it. Sophisticated but soulful. Playful but precise. The kind of energy that gets grandma and the grandkids on the dance floor at the same time. Bassboss took notice early, inviting her to NAMM and featuring her in their press releases, on their website, and on Sweetwater.com.
