Lily Tran

DJ | MC | Singer | Dancer | Audio Engineer

After being introduced to DJing by a close friend in 2011, Lily knew she had found her calling. Over the next several years, she immersed herself in every aspect of music, determined to turn her passion into a career.

While saving up for her first pair of classic Technics 1200 turntables and a professional DJ mixer, Lily expanded her skills by learning music production, co-founding a band, and stepping into the role of lead vocalist. Her curiosity about the industry eventually led her to become the Executive Assistant to the CEO of Monster Cable, where she gained a unique behind-the-scenes perspective on the intersection of music, technology, and business.

That experience opened doors to invaluable opportunities and allowed her to cross paths with some of music’s most influential artists, including Dr. Dre, Xzibit, TLC, Swizz Beatz, Stevie Wonder, George Benson, and Earth, Wind & Fire. These experiences helped shape Lily’s artistic vision and deepened her commitment to building a career rooted in creativity, connection, and a lifelong love of music.

Lily’s journey as an emcee began long before weddings and private events—the seed was planted early in her life. At just ten years old, she would practice her announcer voice while watching Nguyễn Cao Kỳ Duyên on Paris By Night, the iconic Vietnamese variety show that often played in the background of her home.

Her passion for public speaking continued to grow through years of community involvement. As Miss Congeniality of Miss Vietnam of Northern California 2008 and a dedicated Vietnamese Student Association board member throughout high school, she spent much of her time serving her community and hosting cultural events. These experiences helped shape her confidence on the microphone and laid the foundation for the engaging, composed emcee she is today.

In recent years, she has made a bold return to the stage after welcoming her baby, kicking off Lunar New Year 2024 as the opening act for Vietnamese pop star Minh Tuyet. Later that year, she completed a summer residency at the inaugural Story Road Night Market in San Jose, CA, , produced by Moveable Feast, drawing more than 20,000 attendees. In 2025, she stepped into the role of Music Director for the Lunar New Year Tết Festival in Elk Grove, curating a dynamic lineup of artists and performers for the Lucky Wav segment—a variety show created to engage and connect with Gen Z and Millennial Vietnamese American audiences.
